Corey Feldman claims Corey Haim molested him while making ‘The Lost Boys’

Corey Feldman alleges in the new documentary ‘Corey Feldman vs. The World’ that his late co-star Corey Haim molested him during the filming of the 1987 movie ‘The Lost Boys.’ This revelation adds a new layer to long-standing claims of abuse in Hollywood, highlighting the complex dynamics between child stars in the 1980s.

In the documentary, directed by Marcie Hume, Feldman recounts a conversation where Haim, then a teenager, suggested they ‘mess around’ while working on ‘The Lost Boys.’ Feldman describes Haim citing Charlie Sheen as having normalized such behavior, a claim Sheen has vehemently denied in the past. The allegation marks the first time Feldman has publicly accused Haim directly, having previously portrayed both as victims of sexual abuse by others in the industry.

Feldman and Haim rose to fame together in the late 1980s, becoming iconic figures known as ‘The Two Coreys.’ Their partnership in films like ‘License to Drive’ and ‘Dream a Little Dream’ cemented their status as young Hollywood heartthrobs, but behind the scenes, both have spoken about the dark side of child stardom. Haim died in 2010 at age 38 from pneumonia, and Feldman has since been an outspoken advocate for victims of abuse in entertainment.

The new documentary, which premiered recently, delves into Feldman’s life and career, including his efforts to expose predators in Hollywood through his ‘Truth Campaign’ launched in 2017. This campaign aimed to raise funds for a documentary about his experiences, resulting in the 2020 film ‘My Truth: The Rape of Two Coreys,’ which focused on the abuse they suffered but did not mention Haim as an abuser.

In response to the allegations, Sheen has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, calling past claims ‘sick, twisted and outlandish.’ Haim’s mother, Judy Haim, has also refuted allegations involving Sheen, stating in 2017 that her son never mentioned such incidents. Feldman, however, insists that Haim provided detailed accounts of abuse, emphasizing the credibility of his claims.

The documentary also explores Feldman’s controversial personal life, including his management of the all-female band ‘Corey’s Angels,’ which some former members have described as controlling and exploitative. Director Marcie Hume notes that the film aims to present a multifaceted view of Feldman, capturing both his advocacy and the contradictions in his behavior.

This allegation comes amid ongoing discussions about accountability and abuse in Hollywood, resonating with the #MeToo movement’s legacy. Feldman’s willingness to name Haim, a fellow victim, underscores the complexity of abuse dynamics and the lasting impact on survivors. It raises questions about how the industry addresses historical misconduct and supports those coming forward.

As ‘Corey Feldman vs. The World’ becomes available for purchase on platforms like Apple and Amazon, it invites viewers to reconsider the narratives around child stars and abuse. Feldman’s story continues to spark debate about truth, memory, and justice in entertainment, prompting calls for greater transparency and protection for young performers.
