Venus Williams marries Andrea Preti in romantic Palm Beach wedding

Tennis superstar Venus Williams, 45, has tied the knot with Italian actor and producer Andrea Preti, 37, in a lavish Palm Beach wedding that capped off a week-long series of celebrations. The event marks the couple’s second ceremony after an initial wedding in Italy three months prior.

The couple’s journey to the altar began with their engagement in January 2025, which Williams confirmed after winning her first singles match in two years. They first married in a small ceremony on the island of Ischia, Italy, on September 18, but decided to have a second wedding in Florida due to bureaucratic delays. As Williams explained to Vogue, the paperwork for a foreigner in Italy can take up to eight months, prompting the additional celebration.

The Palm Beach festivities kicked off six days before the main ceremony with a yacht celebration hosted by Williams’ sister, Serena Williams, followed by a boudoir-themed bridal shower and daily pool parties at the couple’s home. On Friday, December 20, Williams and Preti made their union official with a private courthouse ceremony at Miami City Hall, which Williams described as “beautiful, calm, sacred, exciting, and exalting.”

For the courthouse wedding, Williams wore a custom dress by Morilee New York, while Preti expressed that it was “the second-best day of my life.” The emotional morning set the tone for the larger ceremony held at their Palm Beach residence over the weekend, where Williams walked down the aisle in a Georges Hobeika gown to the song “Ovunque Sarai” by Irama.

The home ceremony featured a bridal party including Williams’ sisters Serena, Isha Price, and Lyndrea Price, all in tailored suits, with Preti’s side in casual attire. The couple exchanged vows written by themselves, with Williams reciting hers in both English and Italian, adding a personal touch to the multicultural event.

After saying “I do,” the newlyweds exited to Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” and shared their first dance to The Flamingos’ “I Only Have Eyes for You.” The reception was followed by an after-party that lasted until the early hours, with Williams celebrating on a party bus while Preti retired earlier.

Throughout the celebrations, the focus was on family and love, with Williams noting, “We all love each other so much.” The wedding comes at a time when Williams has been making a comeback in tennis, supported by Preti, who encouraged her through rigorous training and matches. With the wedding now complete, Williams and Preti look forward to their life together, blending their careers and cultures. The event has been widely covered in media, highlighting it as a highlight in 2025’s celebrity weddings, and fans are eager to see what the power couple achieves next.
