Stefon Diggs Sued: Your Goons Beat Me Up After You Lied About Me Stealing Your Ferrari

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs is embroiled in fresh legal turmoil as a new lawsuit alleges he defamed a former associate and was involved in a retaliatory assault, casting a shadow over his team’s upcoming Super Bowl appearance. The suit, filed just days before Super Bowl LX, claims Diggs falsely accused the man of stealing his Ferrari and then allowed associates to harass and beat him.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ and reported by Yahoo Sports, the plaintiff, who previously worked for Diggs, was tasked in July 2024 with arranging the transport of Diggs’ Ferrari from Miami to New York and then to Houston. While the vehicle was in Houston, it was stolen in what law enforcement described as a “sophisticated theft” by third parties. Despite this finding, the lawsuit alleges that Diggs began telling mutual acquaintances that the plaintiff was responsible for the theft.

The plaintiff vehemently denies stealing the car and notes he was never arrested or charged. He claims that Diggs’ false statements severely damaged his concierge and consulting business, as clients and associates distanced themselves due to the allegations. The defamation, as per the suit, has caused significant financial and reputational harm.

The confrontation escalated when individuals connected to Diggs allegedly approached the plaintiff at restaurants in Houston and Miami and even came to his home, demanding the return of gifts given by Diggs. In January 2025, Diggs allegedly texted the plaintiff, stating he was “responsible and accountable for all actions of those around me,” which the suit interprets as a threat or acknowledgment of the harassment.

Matters came to a head in December 2025 when the plaintiff claims he was assaulted at Tootsie’s Cabaret in Miami by two men linked to Diggs. The filing states that Diggs’ brother, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, witnessed the incident but did not intervene. The plaintiff suffered multiple injuries, including a torn ACL, and is seeking damages for the assault.

The lawsuit accuses Stefon Diggs of defamation, civil conspiracy, and vicarious liability for the actions of his associates. Trevon Diggs is also named as a defendant for allegedly failing to prevent the assault. The plaintiff is seeking unspecified damages for the physical, emotional, and financial toll of the incidents.

This legal challenge adds to a complicated off-field season for Diggs, who is also dealing with separate felony and misdemeanor charges from an alleged incident with a private chef in December. Diggs’ attorney has denied those earlier allegations, but the new suit could further strain his public image and focus as the Patriots prepare for the Super Bowl.

With Super Bowl LX just days away, the timing of this lawsuit raises questions about potential distractions for Diggs and the Patriots. Legal experts suggest that while the case is in its early stages, it could lead to depositions or court appearances that might interfere with team activities. The NFL has not commented on the matter, but such off-field issues often attract league scrutiny under personal conduct policies.
