Sydney Sweeney Launches Lingerie Line Syrn

Actress Sydney Sweeney has launched her own lingerie brand, Syrn, following a controversial promotional stunt at the Hollywood sign. The line, which emphasizes inclusivity with multiple personas and a wide size range, debuts today amid buzz from her recent commercial ventures.

The Hollywood sign incident, captured by TMZ earlier this week, involved Sweeney scaling the landmark and draping it with bras to promote Syrn. According to reports, her team had a filming permit from FilmLA but lacked authorization from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which is investigating potential trespassing and vandalism. This bold marketing move has drawn legal scrutiny while generating significant online attention.

Syrn’s collection is designed to cater to diverse body types, with offerings organized into four personas: seductress, romantic, playful, and comfy. The line includes 44 sizes ranging from 30B to 42DDD, and most products are priced under $100. The first pieces were released on January 28 at 9 a.m. PST, aiming to provide accessible and stylish lingerie options for women.

The development of Syrn began around mid-2024 and is backed by the investment firm Coatue’s tech fund, which received a $1 billion infusion from Jeff Bezos and Michael Dell. Sweeney’s connection to Bezos, having attended his wedding last June, highlights the high-profile support behind the venture, positioning it for potential growth in the competitive lingerie market.

This launch follows Sweeney’s previous fashion collaborations, including a swimwear line with Frankies Bikinis in 2023 and a controversial American Eagle campaign in 2025. The American Eagle ad, featuring the phrase “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans,” led to a 16% stock rally but faced criticism for alleged racist undertones, reflecting the mixed reception to her commercial endorsements.

Sweeney’s rise to fame has been marked by increased commercial visibility, with film roles in “Christy” and “The Housemaid” in 2025. Despite varying box office success, her ability to generate buzz has made her a sought-after figure for brands, though it has also sparked debates about over-commercialization and the balance between acting and entrepreneurship.

The Syrn launch represents a strategic effort to leverage Sweeney’s personal brand and address gaps in the lingerie market. By focusing on inclusivity and affordability, she aims to create a brand that resonates with women of all shapes and sizes, moving beyond mere celebrity endorsement to establish herself as a serious businesswoman.

Looking ahead, the success of Syrn will depend on consumer response and how the brand navigates the ongoing controversy from the Hollywood sign stunt. If successful, it could pave the way for further entrepreneurial ventures from Sweeney, solidifying her role as a multifaceted influencer in the entertainment and fashion industries.
