Video Shows Cam Taylor-Britt’s Car Flip in November Crash

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt was involved in a terrifying vehicle crash in November that was caught on surveillance video, showing his Jeep flipping after running a red light. The incident, which resulted in no charges, has recently surfaced as Taylor-Britt faces legal consequences for separate reckless driving offenses.

The crash occurred around 3 a.m. on November 15 in the 400 block of Scott Street in Covington, Kentucky. Surveillance footage provided by Covington police shows a black Jeep, registered to Taylor-Britt, blowing through a red light and slamming into a parked Chevrolet Cruze. The impact caused the Jeep to roll over and land on its roof, just out of the camera’s frame. Officers arriving at the scene found both vehicles badly damaged but no individuals present.

Body camera footage obtained by Local 12 News reveals the chaotic aftermath, with police attempting to determine who was driving. Taylor-Britt’s brother, Jafabian Booker, initially told officers that a drunk woman had been behind the wheel and fled, but later changed his story to admit he was the driver. Taylor-Britt, who was contacted at his home, consistently stated he was a backseat passenger and not driving during the exchange with police.

Police records indicate that Taylor-Britt’s license was suspended at the time of the crash, and he informed officers he would need to consult his attorney regarding his driving status. Despite the conflicting accounts and the severity of the accident, Covington police decided not to file any charges, concluding that no crime had been committed. Captain Justin Bradbury explained that the case was not forwarded to prosecutors for this reason.

The timing of the crash is notable, as it occurred just one day before Taylor-Britt took the field for the Bengals’ game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 16. During that contest, he suffered a foot injury that ultimately ended his season, adding a layer of irony to the sequence of events. This injury has kept him sidelined and using crutches in recent court appearances.

Earlier this month, Taylor-Britt appeared in Hamilton County Court and pleaded guilty to reckless driving and driving with a restricted license from an unrelated incident in 2025. He was sentenced to five days in jail, which he served immediately after the hearing. In court, Taylor-Britt apologized for his actions, acknowledging the danger he posed to others and expressing a commitment to change his behavior.

Looking ahead, the crash investigation is closed, with police having redacted parts of the body camera video to protect Taylor-Britt’s privacy by obscuring his home address. Taylor-Britt is currently focused on recovering from his foot injury and has stated his intention to rely on others for transportation moving forward. While this incident adds to his off-field challenges, no further legal action is expected, allowing him to concentrate on his rehabilitation and future in the NFL.
