‘RHOA’ star Porsha Williams cleared in FBI investigation after plane ‘incident’

Porsha Williams, star of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” has been cleared by the FBI following an investigation into an incident on a Delta flight from Las Vegas to Atlanta. The U.S. Attorney’s Office determined that no crime was committed, effectively closing the case on November 21, 2025.

The altercation occurred on November 16, 2025, aboard a flight returning from BravoCon, where Williams had been a participant. Reports initially indicated that a verbal dispute between Williams and another passenger escalated, with allegations of physical involvement. Upon landing at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, authorities were called to the scene to investigate.

Body camera footage released to the media showed Williams explaining to police that the conflict began when a fellow traveler complained about the volume of her phone. Williams stated that the woman abruptly asked if she planned to play audio throughout the flight, leading to a retort from Williams. The situation worsened when the passenger used offensive language, calling Williams a “bitch,” which sparked the heated exchange.

Several witnesses on the flight corroborated Williams’ version of events, telling investigators that she was not the aggressor. These individuals provided statements supporting her claim that she remained calm despite the provocation. Their accounts were instrumental in painting a clear picture of the incident for law enforcement.

The other woman involved filed a complaint alleging that Williams had assaulted her, causing her to fear for her life. She claimed that Williams screamed at her, gestured aggressively, and threw her phone when she tried to record the encounter. However, these allegations were disputed by multiple witnesses and the absence of physical evidence.

The Atlanta Police Department conducted an initial investigation before handing the case over to the FBI due to the flight’s interstate nature. The FBI then launched a formal probe, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing available footage to ascertain if any federal laws were broken.

On November 21, 2025, Williams’ representative announced that the U.S. Attorney’s Office had concluded the investigation, stating that no crime had been committed and that the FBI would not pursue further action. Williams’ attorney expressed no surprise at the outcome, emphasizing that there was never any physical encounter and that the accusations were baseless from the start.

With the investigation closed, Williams can now put the incident behind her, having been vindicated by the findings. This case underscores the importance of credible witness testimony and thorough investigations in resolving public disputes involving celebrities.
