Pete Davidson’s pregnant girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, experiencing debilitating pain ahead of baby’s arrival

Elsie Hewitt, the pregnant girlfriend of comedian Pete Davidson, has publicly shared that she is enduring severe, debilitating pain throughout her pregnancy, describing it as “absolute agony” in recent social media posts. On Friday, November 16, 2025, Hewitt took to her Instagram Stories to reveal that the pain is nearly constant, occurring “24/7,” and has worsened to the point where she can barely walk, highlighting the often-unseen challenges of pregnancy for those with pre-existing conditions.

The 29-year-old model and actress explained that she has been in severe pain since the early stages of her pregnancy and has exhausted a wide range of treatments in search of relief. These include exercise, stretches, physical therapy, acupuncture, energy healing, and steroid shots, but none have provided significant improvement. Her frustration is evident as she stated, “I have tried everything, and it’s only getting worse,” underscoring the limitations of current pain management strategies.

Hewitt suspects her suffering is linked to a combination of endometriosis, a condition she has previously disclosed, and Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a group of inherited disorders affecting connective tissues. EDS can make pregnancy particularly difficult due to joint hypermobility and pain, and she believes this perfect storm of medical issues is driving her agony. This self-diagnosis has added to her anxiety, as she seeks clarity on how these conditions interact during gestation.

Emotionally, Hewitt is in distress, admitting she is “straight-up suffering and in so much pain every single day” and unsure how her condition could deteriorate further. She turned to Instagram to seek advice and hope from others who have experienced pregnancy with EDS, asking if the pain subsides after birth and if her situation will improve. This plea for community support highlights the emotional toll of chronic pain and the need for shared experiences in navigating such hardships.

In an interview with People last month, Hewitt had expressed shock at her pregnancy, as she believed her endometriosis rendered her infertile. She underwent surgery to preserve her fertility shortly before conceiving, making this journey a poignant milestone. Her openness about these reproductive health issues sheds light on the complexities many women face, challenging assumptions about infertility and pregnancy.

The couple, who announced their pregnancy in July 2025 after dating since March, have received widespread attention. Pete Davidson, known for his role on “Saturday Night Live,” has shown support, previously stating he is “very lucky and very, very happy” about becoming a father and looking forward to caring for their child. Despite the current challenges, their relationship appears strong, with Hewitt recently sharing a heartfelt birthday tribute to Davidson.

As the due date approaches, Hewitt’s story raises awareness about pregnancy complications and the importance of medical and emotional support for expectant mothers with complex conditions. Her courage in sharing her experience may inspire broader discussions on maternal health, potentially encouraging research and resources for those in similar situations. What comes next will depend on her health progression and the support she receives, but her narrative already underscores the resilience required in such personal journeys.
