Jim Edmonds’ current wife, Kortnie, called police on his ex-wife, Meghan King, after an alleged intrusion into their Missouri home in May, with conflicting accounts emerging from both sides. The incident, which involved a dispute over dropping off a dress for their daughter, led to police involvement and a subsequent legal agreement to prevent further escalation.
Jim Edmonds and Meghan King were married from 2014 to 2021 and share three children: Aspen, 8, and twins Hart and Hayes, 7. Their divorce was highly publicized and contentious, with Jim remarrying Kortnie in 2022. Meghan, a former star of ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County,’ has often been at the center of media attention due to their ongoing disputes.
On May 1, 2025, Meghan King arrived at the Edmonds’ home in Frontenac, Missouri, around 5 p.m. to drop off a communion dress for her daughter, as she had coordinated with Jim earlier that day. According to police reports obtained by Us Weekly, Kortnie Edmonds claimed that Meghan rang the doorbell repeatedly and refused to simply leave the dress at the doorstep as instructed.
Kortnie told authorities that after she asked Meghan to leave the dress, Meghan became upset and allegedly entered the home without permission, yelling for her daughter. Kortnie stated she found Meghan inside the house, approximately five feet from the doorway, and demanded she leave immediately. She also alleged that Meghan wedged her foot in the door briefly before exiting.
A representative for Meghan King strongly denied these allegations, asserting that she never stepped inside the home and was only calling for her daughter from the doorway. The rep explained that Meghan had arranged the drop-off with Jim and felt the police response was unnecessarily hostile, including being blocked by multiple vehicles upon leaving.
Police responded to the scene but did not arrest or detain Meghan. The Frontenac Municipal Prosecutor later refused to press charges, classifying the incident as a domestic dispute and deeming it inactive. In June, a consent order was agreed upon, requiring Meghan and Kortnie to stay at least 150 feet apart at children’s events and avoid mentioning each other on social media.
This event is part of a broader pattern of conflicts between the ex-spouses, including previous police calls and custody modifications. Meghan has primary custody of the children, and her representative highlighted past instances where she sought protection, suggesting a history of turmoil post-divorce.
The legal agreement aims to minimize public drama and protect the children from further exposure. Both parties have expressed a desire to move forward, with Meghan prioritizing her children’s stability and choosing to remain silent on the matter, while Jim and Kortnie intend to let the facts speak for themselves.
