Professional wrestler Syko Stu has been released from the hospital after a brutal in-ring attack by Raja Jackson, marking the beginning of a challenging recovery journey. The incident, which occurred during a wrestling event, has sparked a police investigation and widespread condemnation.
The assault took place at a KnokX Pro Wrestling show, where Raja Jackson, son of MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, unexpectedly turned a scripted performance into a real violent encounter. Jackson body-slammed Stu to the canvas and proceeded to punch him repeatedly in the head while he was motionless, leading to Stu losing consciousness on the spot.
Stu, legally known as Stuart Smith, sustained severe injuries including a serious head injury, trauma to both his upper and lower jaws, a laceration on his upper lip, a fracture to the maxilla bone, and the loss of several teeth. He was hospitalized for about a week and is now recovering at home, with his wife Contessa Patterson managing his care and providing updates via social media.
In a Facebook post, Patterson expressed immense gratitude for the support received, highlighting donations, food, and gifts from the community. She emphasized that Stu remains in good spirits despite the ordeal, but acknowledged the long and difficult recovery ahead.
The attack was broadcast live on the streaming platform Kick, horrifying viewers and prompting immediate intervention from other wrestlers. Douglas Malo rushed to Stu’s aid, restraining Jackson and later informing media that Stu was conscious and communicating after the incident.

KnokX Pro Wrestling issued a statement apologizing to fans and stating that such heinous behavior has never occurred in their 17 years of operation, vowing to address the situation.
