Yarely Ashley Hermosillo Death: Family Breaks Down in Tears at Heartbreaking Press Conference

Yarely Ashley Hermosillo, a 27-year-old social media influencer, was tragically killed in a random shooting during a road rage incident in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday night. She was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire, leaving her family devastated and highlighting issues of gun violence.

Yarely Ashley Hermosillo was a vibrant online content creator with 144,000 followers on Instagram, known for her cooking reels. She was also a devoted mother to her 3-year-old son, and her family described her as full of dreams and aspirations for her future, which were abruptly ended by this senseless act.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, on eastbound Camelback Road in Glendale, Arizona. Hermosillo was a passenger in a vehicle that was not involved in the initial argument between two other drivers. She was shot and pronounced dead at 1 a.m. on Saturday, August 16.

Jesus Preciado Dousten, 33, the alleged shooter, was driving a GMC pickup truck when he engaged in a brief verbal exchange with another driver. According to police, he pulled out a handgun, uttered a threat in Spanish, and fired a shot randomly, striking Hermosillo in the right eye. Witnesses reported that Dousten appeared intoxicated at the time.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, as police stated that the argument itself was not criminal and was merely a verbal exchange. Dousten has an extensive criminal history, including previous road rage incidents and convictions for theft, flight from law enforcement, and resisting arrest. He was arrested on Saturday and charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault, misconduct involving weapons, and endangerment.

The impact of Hermosillo’s death has been profound. Her family, including her sister Cryshan Lopez, expressed their heartbreak at a press conference on Wednesday, August 20, recalling the trauma of losing her in such a cruel manner. Her young son is now without a mother, and her promising social media career has been cut short. This incident has sparked discussions about gun violence, road safety, and the need for accountability in society.

Dousten is currently being held on $1 million bail, and the legal process will proceed with court hearings in the coming months. The case underscores the importance of addressing repeat offenders and implementing measures to prevent similar tragedies. Hermosillo’s family hopes that her story will raise awareness and lead to positive changes in community safety.
