Aubrey Plaza will star in and produce a biopic about Heidi Fleiss, the 1990s ‘Hollywood madam’ who operated a celebrity prostitution ring. The dark comedy focuses on Fleiss’ attempts to blackmail her way out of criminal charges before her 1993 trial. Directed by Leah Rachel with a script co-written by Rachel Sennott, the film comes from Pinky Promise Productions. Plaza takes on the role while Fleiss has publicly endorsed the casting despite refusing to watch the film. Production begins in Los Angeles later this year.
